Follow the yellow brick road in this delightful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum's beloved tale, featuring the iconic musical score from the MGM film! The timeless tale, in which young Dorothy Gale travels from Kansas over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz, continues to thrill audiences worldwide.
Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre (ESRT) will bring The Wizard of Oz to Henry George Park in Fairhope for the eighth annual Theatre on the Bluff on May 6-9, 2021. The Wizard of Oz is directed by Erin Langley and David Redman Scott with choreography by Matthew Kiel and music direction by Arthur Bosarge.
All shows begin at 7:30 p.m. General Admission gate will open at 6:30 p.m. Patrons should bring their own blanket or lawn chair, and picnics are encouraged. Concessions will also be available for purchase.
Tickets are currently only available online. Click here to reserve them! ESRT will follow all state health guidelines, including social distancing and masks. In the event that a performance must be canceled due to inclement weather, a rain date performance will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021. All tickets are non-refundable. Founded in 2012, Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre provides innovative, high-quality theatre experiences for the Eastern Shore community, including musical theatre summer camps, dance and musical theatre classes, participation in Junior Theater Festival, the world’s largest musical theater festival for young people, and two major productions each year. ESRT productions entertain approximately 15,000 audience members annually and include the fall show which features a cast of 50-70 area students aged from 3rd-12th grade and the popular Theatre on the Bluff held each spring featuring performers of all ages.
