• Welcome to Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre's Frequently Asked Questions! We hope that this page answers any remaining questions you may have about ESRT. If not, reach out to easternshorerep@gmail.com, or use our Contact form!

  • When are rehearsals?

Our rehearsals are held Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4 to 6 PM, as well as Saturdays from 9 AM to 4 PM. While it is unlikely that each person will be asked to attend every rehearsal over the course of a week, we suggest that these days are kept free from other extracurriculars. By the final month of rehearsal, all cast members can expect full schedules!

  • What should I bring to auditions?

No resumes, headshots, or pre-prepared songs are necessary. If you are getting ready for callbacks, be sure to put your hair back, grab a water bottle, and change into dance/athletic clothing.

  • How large are the casts?

This answer differs depending on the time of year! While our JTF competition teams are typically made up of 30 students each, the fall and spring shows have between 70 and 80 cast members.

  • When do the cast lists come out? Where can I find them?

If you are cast in one of our shows, you will receive an email 4-5 days after callbacks. Our cast lists will also be posted on the Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre Facebook page!

  • How can I show my support for ESRT without being onstage?

For theatre-lovers that prefer to stay out of the spotlight, the ESRT Auxiliary is the best way to get involved. Auxiliary members assist in fundraising, organize our concessions and merchandise stands, and even have a few events of their own! Becoming a Sponsor, too, is a great way to show your support for ESRT. We have several levels of sponsorship, each with ticket and advertising benefits.

  • Where can I buy tickets?

Though you can buy tickets at the door, we highly recommend that you purchase them ahead of time. Our public shows have been known to sell out! Keep an eye on our Facebook page for Eventbrite links as the show approaches.

  • What is the youngest age that my child can get involved?

Starting in the 3rd grade, they can audition for our fall and spring shows! If they are new to the theatre world, consider the ESRT Kids Academy, open to kindergarten through 6th grade students (without the audition process).

  • Can adults audition, too?

Yes! Our spring show is open to performers of all ages. Look out for auditions mid-January!
