ABOUT THE SHOW

CATS, one of the longest-running shows in West End and Broadway history, received its world premiere at the New London Theatre in 1981 where it played for 21 record-breaking years and almost 9,000 performances. The ground-breaking production was the winner of the Olivier and Evening Standard Awards for Best Musical. In 1983 the Broadway production became the recipient of seven Tony awards including Best Musical, and ran for 18 years.

Since its world premiere, CATS has been presented in over 30 countries, has been translated into 15 languages and has been seen by more than 73 million people worldwide. Both the original London and Broadway cast recordings won Grammy Awards for Best Cast Album.

Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre will bring Cats to the 11th Annual Theatre on the Bluff on May 2 - 4, 2024 directed by Erin Langley with choreography by Matthew Kiel. Costume design by Shirlee Idzakovich.

All shows begin at 7:30 p.m., and gates will open at 6:30 each evening. Patrons should bring their own blanket or lawn chair, and picnics are encouraged. Concessions will also be available for purchase.

Tickets will go on sale online April 1 or can be purchased at the gate on the night of the show if tickets are still available. In the event that a performance must be canceled due to inclement weather, a rain date performance will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024. All tickets are non-refundable.

Founded in 2012, Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre provides innovative, high-quality theatre experiences for the Eastern Shore community, including musical theatre summer camps, dance and musical theatre classes, participation in Junior Theater Festival, the world’s largest musical theater festival for young people, and two major productions each year.
